Achieved a 25% reduction in annual spend by leading a project to update the forecasting process for materials and supplies across 40+ sites, employing machine learning and regression models. Worked with cross functional teams and IT to define requirements and eventually deploy across all sites. Oversaw the integration of the 3PL Deliverr and e-commerce SFN networks into the unified SL network in terms of materials procurement. Implemented standardized forecasting, replenishment, and supply chain management processes across the expanded SL network. Managed 60 vendors across 1500 skus and managed to increase and maintain availability over plan within the first couple of weeks. Developed a highly collaborative culture which resulted in faster and more transparent supplier – Walmart operation. Standardized the communications and collaboration of all relevant parts in the supply chain, to concentrate in maximizing availability and revenue for the consumables department. Resulting in an increase in service level of over 500 bps. Using machine learning models, developed a new strategy for promo execution to maintain availability, while reducing the frontload at the store. Ultimately optimizing promo execution and minimizing lost sales.
Developed standard procedures for communications with cross functional teams, to reduce mistakes and improve the rollout of promotions, new planograms and the day-to-day operations overall. Completed in-depth analyses for business optimization projects, managing to improve the availability of products across Canada with over 20 million dollars on inventory, optimal days on hand and zero discarded inventory for over a year, boosting revenue by over 8% at the peak season.
