Our research seeks to understand the financial problems Americans face every day, inspires products that help solve those problems, and nurtures the culture of member-obsession that makes Chime the most human-centered financial company. If you’ve ever wondered how digital, physical, and service products intersect with people and their financial lifestyle, the Chime User Research team might just be the best place for you.

We’re looking for a User Researcher to help Chime deepen our understanding of how to decrease financial risk for both our members and the business, as well as improve members’ experience filing and resolving disputes.

The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $124,000 and up to $155,000. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.

In this role, you can expect to:

Conduct thoughtful research on company strategy, products, and services to help our growing base of members with their financial health.
Work collaboratively with stakeholders from Product, Design, Marketing, and Analytics to understand our members and unearth problems we should be focused on.
Develop mixed-method research studies that include the stakeholders in every step of the process, from study concept to insight delivery.
Produce research artifacts that are human-readable and concise to inform what we’re learning about members.
Act as a champion for high-caliber user advocacy throughout Chime and champion our members first in all decisions
To thrive in this role, you have:

Will have at least 3 years of user research experience for consumer products that have digital experiences

Independently designed research studies that have positively influenced user needs and business metrics
Conducted research collaboratively and showed a passion for processes that engage stakeholders beyond research reports
Proficiency in communicating user research findings with cross-functional partners to drive impact
Experience conducting various research methodologies such as survey writing, survey analysis, user interviews, usability testing, journey mapping, diary studies and field studies
Excellent understanding of the strengths and shortcomings of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during product development
Experience working in a startup environment. High-growth startups are a strong plus.
Experience in a Fintech organization is a plus.

Job responsibilities

Drive proactive cybersecurity engagement with critical suppliers by leveraging intelligence sources and advanced analytical techniques to identify emerging cyber risks and vulnerabilities and conduct outreach
Coordinate with suppliers for timely remediation of known vulnerabilities in third-party and open-source components identified in the analysis of Software Bills of Materials (SBOMs)
Collaborate with security teams to manage third party penetration testing of the firm’s critical suppliers and coordinate with impacted suppliers to manage findings
Partner to raise awareness and drive improvements in Third-Party controls using cyber incident information and threat intelligence
Manage communications to internal business, technology and Third-Party supplier groups

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Obtain 3+ years of relevant experience in cybersecurity operations, control assessments, or security research, focusing on cyber threat identification and remediation
Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex technical information effectively via written, verbal and presentation formats to both business and technology stakeholders
Understand offensive cybersecurity principles and working knowledge of security architecture and design
Knowledge of key cybersecurity principles that mitigate common threat actor techniques (Email, Network, Endpoint, Resiliency & Recovery, Monitoring, End User Awareness, Vulnerability Management, Identity and Access Management).
Able to collaborate and navigate organizational levels/boundaries to mitigate third party cyber risk to the firm
Self-starter with drive to deliver results and continuous improvement mindset

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Understanding of industry risk frameworks (ISO27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, MITRE ATT&CK, etc.)
CISSP, CISA, CISM, CCSP or CRISC certification is a plus
Background in Product Security, Incident Response, Technology/Cyber Audit

The complexity of research and skills for a Business Analyst is well beyond basic data entry and extraction. It involves design and development of automated data pipelines, sophisticated analytical modeling and intuitive data visualization. This role will directly be responsible for maintaining front end code using Python, SQL, HTML, Java, and R, or other similar coding languages. Proficiency in the aforementioned languages is not required, but an ability to be a quick learner and gain proficiency is required for a successfully candidate. Key job responsibilities

– Retrieving and analyzing large sets of data using Excel, SQL, and other data management systems.
– Designing and implementing reporting solutions to enable stakeholders to manage the business and make effective decisions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
